You are cordially invited to
The Summer Double Dip
A summer soiree benefitting
LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation
and The IDEAL School
For almost 14 years, we, the Providentis, have advocated for the disabled community. Many have attended and supported our events to raise awareness and funding for important causes--and some fun is always an important ingredient!
Last year, we transitioned our “Romp For Research” to a Hamptons party where we had so much fun and success in raising $60,000! This year, we decided to double things up and host two events: On Saturday, July 8, we will hold our annual charity basketball tournament; and, on Saturday, July 29, we are hosting a party at our home in East Hampton. The break between events will allow some of the not-so-20-year olds a few weeks to recover.
But wait — there is more! This year, our party will benefit two amazing causes: LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation and The IDEAL School of Manhattan. Many of us are inspired by Troy, who is blossoming into quite a young man. Troy’s development has been terrific and we are all proud of him. Troy stands to benefit from the important research that LuMind funds, as well as being an active and involved student at The IDEAL School.
We remain focused and committed on making the world better and on supporting the cognition research program of LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation. Their vital research seeks to improve learning memory and speech and to ameliorate the effects of earlier-onset Alzheimer’s disease for people with Down syndrome. Since its founding in 2004, Lumind RDS Foundation has become the leading private source of funding in the U.S., generating more than $15 million to support results-driven research to improve cognition in the DS population.
At the same time, we are inspired by The IDEAL School of Manhattan where Troy is a student. IDEAL is an amazing place that values the diversity that comes not only from a variety of socioeconomic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds, but also embraces the opportunities that arise from bringing learners together with an array of learning profiles, talents, and interests.
We hope that you can join us in East Hampton on July 29 for a memorable and fun-filled evening to help raise awareness and funds.
