Lower School classes have access to iPads and Chromebooks, and teachers use iPads and smartboards to enhance and inspire student learning and to expose them to digital tools in a safe and structured environment. Students use a variety of apps to construct knowledge and produce creative artifacts. Teachers use interactive projectors, wireless screen sharing, laptops, and iPads to provide engaging and powerful learning experiences and content. Project-based learning crosses disciplines and deepens students’ creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Fifth graders work closely with their teachers to develop independence in research skills and productivity apps using Chromebooks to prepare for receiving an assigned Chromebook in Middle School.
