STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) classes and electives in the High School allow students to work on technology-based projects that extend and connect their studies in other disciplines. IDEAL’s state of the art STEAM Lab is equipped with a 3D printer and vinyl cutter to cultivate spatial reasoning skills and creativity and a green screen to inspire creativity as students create short films, animations, and documentary projects. Within STEAM classes, students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful, and imaginative solutions. Through these courses, students develop an understanding of design principles and appreciate their ability to solve problems and effect change.
