Next Steps students held their annual luncheon for their families and staff members on Wednesday, June 4. Leading up to the luncheon, students prepared garlic bread, a caprese salad, marry-me chicken, a turkey lasagna, chocolate chip cookies, and two cakes, including a glow-in-the-dark cake. At the luncheon, this year’s Next Steps graduate gave a farewell speech reflecting on her time at IDEAL.

Another student concluded his year-long internship at Project Rousseau, a nonprofit located in Midtown. Throughout the year, he gained valuable skills, including scanning and naming files for the organization and other office skills.

Additionally, on Friday, June 6, Next Steps concluded their sixth and final volunteer day at Trinity Church, packing 150 snack bags for children in New York City. Also on Friday, Next Steps had its final social event, a lunch outing to Adrienne's Pizza Bar, where they got to reflect on the school year and talk about their summer.
