Student Leadership Conference
Five IDEAL students recently had an inspiring experience at the Student Leadership Conference on Inclusive Postsecondary Education at Syracuse University. Accompanied by Dr. Soldovieri and Mx. Estrin, they learned about advocacy from students like themselves, connected with alumni from inclusive college programs, and attended the Inclusive College Fair, where they explored over 30 inclusive college programs from across the country. The students also had a guided campus tour led by seniors in the Inclusive U program andheard Dr. Soldovieri present her team’s research from Syracuse University’s Center on Disability Inclusion, entitled “Exploring the Landscape of Inclusive Postsecondary Education: A Scoping Review,” the first-ever field-wide review on Inclusive Postsecondary Education.
