Convocations Set the Tone for 2026-27
On Thursday, IDEAL held its two annual convocations, ceremonies officially opening the school year. The Lower and Upper School divisions each had their own goal-setting get-together with words of wisdom from Interim Head of School Tara Slinn and the division heads. The Upper School students also enjoyed Red and White Team competition, where the new students learned which team they would represent. Lower School will be introduced to the teams at next Friday’s assembly. Both convocations ended with a group singing of “Great Big Beautiful World,” the IDEAL school song, led by Ms. Hernandez and Mr. Protis, with Mr. Murillo joining for the Upper School rendition. Photos from the events are in this Facebook album.
