On Thursday, Upper School had its annual Celebration of Black Culture assembly. The event started in advisory rooms, where students gave presentations that included interactive elements such as hair braiding. The activities related to the four topics: Sports, Fashion/Style/Hair, Art, Science/Inventions, and Music. After rotating through the four presentations, families, students, and teachers joined together in the gym for a presentation by Mx. Estrin and poems read by four High School students. The assembly ended with the first part of a game of Black culture Jeopardy created by Jonas. Photos are in this Facebook Album.
