On Thursday, January 30, Upper School students gathered in the gym for the launch of the Black Heritage Month Door Decorating Contest. Ms. Roper and Student Council members shared slides with information about the competition. The theme this year is "Essense of Change: Black Joy, Freedom, and Growth." Advisories are each choosing one Black woman who has shaped history and inspired progress. Students will work together to decorate their room’s door with artistry as well as information. The winners of the contest will be announced at the Upper School Celebration of Black Culture on February 27. The Lower School celebration will follow the next day.
