This week, High School students completed their MLK Day of Service projects. On Thursday, they organized a Move-a-Thon to raise money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). They pledged to complete 45 minutes of physical activity or mindfulness exercises and asked their friends and families for donations. The students chose to walk through the neighborhood, practice Vinyasa flow yoga, take part in a choreographed dance with scarves, or shoot basketballs. Those who opted for a walk covered a mile in the area, and students who chose basketball successfully made at least 620 baskets collectively. Check out their moves in this Facebook album.
