Lower School students focused their MLK Day service work on direct action, including making care packages for seniors in a nursing home. Each grade brought a specific item and worked together on assembling the packages, which included hand sanitizer, toothbrushes and toothpaste, lotion, lip balm, and soap or body wash. Students also made cards for the residents of the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Brooklyn. Grades 4 and 5 took the trip across the river to deliver the gifts.
