On Earth Day, Lower School gathered in the Multipurpose Room for its annual Earthfest celebration. Each year, the fourth grade class reads and performs The Great Kapok Tree as the animals and people in the story about protecting the rainforest. Every year, each class creates artwork related to Earth Day, like the butterfly wings that the K-1 class made for their butterfly release. The butterflies weren’t ready to fly yet, so Ms. Fersko and the class will find a day to let their charges out of their growing cage. Photos from the assembly are in this Facebook album.
