Black Heritage Month

Graphic with Black Heritage Month information

During Pioneer Period on Friday, January 28, Student Council announced a door decorating contest for Black Heritage Month at IDEAL. Students will collaborate within their advisory in Upper School or grade in Lower School to create a door decoration within the theme of Black Heritage Month, choosing one person, group, or event in history that celebrates Black history and culture. The designs should be unique and educational and will be judged on clarity of theme, creative use of door space, and evidence of collaboration. Winners will be announced during Pioneer Period on February 26, and the winner in each division will receive an ice cream or hot chocolate party.
