Mission

The IDEAL School of Manhattan is an independent, nonprofit school that provides a comprehensive educational program for children from kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our program is designed to address each student’s unique academic, social, and emotional needs while reinforcing individual strengths, interests, and abilities. Differentiated, individualized instruction is based on the learning style of each child.

At IDEAL, we believe success breeds success. Small class sizes, low student-teacher ratios, team teaching by highly trained teachers and specialists, flexibility in instructional methods, and personal attention to each child’s needs create an environment where students can achieve their maximum potential. Our philosophy of acceptance and support allows each child to take risks and experience success, while building self-esteem, self-respect, and respect for others.
