| Collaborative Team Teaching is an instructional practice that includes a general education teacher and learning specialist who combine efforts to provide support and enrichment to all students. Both are responsible for instructional planning and delivery, student achievement, assessment, and discipline. Collaborative Team Teaching allows for flexibility in instruction, low student to teacher ratios, and comprehensive observation and assessment. Our co-teaching teams draw upon their own education and experiences in a shared way to enhance learning for all students. Both equally focus on delivery of instruction, ensuring that all modalities of learning are being accounted for during each lesson and that not all lessons are taught the same way. This framework also provides a model for students to see successful teamwork. |
